We take mains water as the initial source and combine mechanical treatment and deionisation methods, first removing 95% to 99% of salt, chlorine and substance impurities and then the remaining percentage, producing 100% deionised water.

We use 100% deionised water free of chlorine, substances and salt impurities to clean the photovoltaic collectors. This water ensures the maximum possible cleaning efficiency, without the use of chemicals and without any risk of corrosion or damage to the systems.

In addition, clearing the vegetation is important for cooling and for avoiding moisture build-up on the surface of the photovoltaic collectors, as this can cause a significant drop in their efficiency. Integrating a process of collecting and removing the cut vegetation for recycling is also one of our practices for protecting the environment and biodiversity, as well as reducing the risk of fire.

The loss of generated power due to soiling is often underestimated.

General information

Photovoltaic collectors are built to capture abundant, inexhaustible clean solar energy and convert it into electricity. Their smooth, perfectly flat glass surface guarantees that solar rays are not refracted, ensuring maximum performance.
Keeping the units in excellent operating condition must be the top priority for owners of photovoltaic systems. The build-up of dirt will certainly lead to production losses at rates that can range between 5% and 25%, if local conditions are particularly unfavourable.

Technically correct cleaning

Technically correct cleaning removes dust, pollen, soil, bird droppings, moss, salt and other polluting agents, resulting in optimal performance while also extending the longevity of the systems in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.

Equipment

CLEANIQ produces at its facilities, using advanced high-quality equipment, ultra-pure water that is 100% free of salts, chlorine and substances, which gives us excellent cleaning properties and is suitable for use in cleaning.

01. Rotary cleaning system
We have a rotating fine-fibre brush system that operates with high-pressure deionised water, causing it to spin at high speed. In this way, dirt is removed immediately from the panel surface without damaging them and without leaving residues such as spots, salts and streaks.

02. Remote-controlled robotic system
We use a remote-controlled robotic system that allows us speed in completing the cleaning and work on difficult installations due to slope or location, achieving precise and effective cleaning.

03. Portability of water treatment systems
We operate with the ability to transport portable water treatment systems (softeners, reverse osmosis and deionisers) and provide flexibility in the production and use of 100% deionised water for cleaning by the operators.

Substrate / Ground Maintenance: Maintaining safe functionality

It is important to keep the ground of photovoltaic parks in excellent condition to achieve maximum performance, reduce the risk of accidents associated with working in the park, and prevent ignition and fire risk.

Clearing and removing the vegetation from the park site is one of the practices for the smooth and safe operation of the installation and highlights it as a thoroughly well-maintained investment.

Maintaining a gap beneath the photovoltaic panels is essential for improving their performance and lifespan. This empty space helps dissipate heat and cool the panels, allowing them to operate at high efficiency.

In addition, maintaining the gap can reduce the risk of moisture formation and improve the performance of photovoltaic panels in areas with humid climatic conditions, while at the same time reducing the corresponding maintenance costs.

We offer vegetation-clearing and removal services, understanding the importance of protecting the environment and strictly observing the regulations and guidelines for limiting the impact of our work on the natural environment.

We recycle the vegetation or organic materials, following the prescribed procedures for their recycling. These materials are destined for investment either in green-development projects or in the agricultural sector.

Production Process

The water first passes through a dual sediment pre-filtration system, then through a multi-layer sand filter and immediately after through a self-cleaning activated-carbon filter. The water then passes through a water softener that uses a regeneration process and ends up in an advanced reverse-osmosis system with a production capacity of 1000 lt/h. Immediately afterwards it passes through a UV filter and a deionisation system and is stored in three-layer antimicrobial tanks.

Portable production systems

The process of producing 100% deionised water can also be carried out on-site with portable treatment systems (pre-filtration, activated-carbon filter, reverse osmosis, deionisation), provided that a mains or borehole supply is available and that the analyses carried out on the source water allow it. The on-site production capacity of 100% deionised water is 600 lt/h, sufficient for cleaning.

Due to its purity, the deionised water produced has excellent cleaning properties and works without the need for chemical cleaners in an ecological way, leaving a spotless surface without the need for wiping or drying.
